C. J. Dammit

CJD was the mascot of my Dad’s helicopter company in ‘Nam. I’ve heard many stories, and thought he should be remembered in true heroic form.

Space Chimp!

Oh, space chimp. I’ve been toying with similar tattoo ideas around this one for years. I ended up giving this painting to a dear friend from college. Before that, this one spent a semester on display in a building of my alma mater in 2008-2009.

Weenie Wagon

When I was a kid, my father used to threaten to quit his job to run a hot dog stand. I thought it was a great idea.

The Heist

Every once in a while, I get so giddy about an idea that I can’t contain giggle fits while painting it. This is one of ’em.

Sea Lamprey of the Apocalypse

My friend is leaving work to move to the city of Starbucks (his wife got a rad marketing position for the coffee giant). He recently did an evaluation of workers who handle these guys: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_lamprey.

I thought this would be a fitting farewell gift. We’ll miss you, Carlos.

Trashcaster

My friends found this beat up guitar in someone’s trash on the sidewalk. I thank them for giving it to me as a project. Made the year I graduated from high school, so I took a liking to it. After researching it, I learned this is a limited run of Fender USA bodies/necks outfitted with Mexican parts due to a inventory issue caused by a fire at their Mexico plant.
